Stage 1 Saturday, July 4 2009 - Monaco ITT 15.5 km

Here we go folks the big one.
A tough technical first days tt-ing with a decent lump climbing 200m.
This is an important stage right from the off. There will be big gaps so not like a prologue at all.

Eurosport 1430 live, 2305 highlights.
web streaming from amongst others cyclingfans.com

http://www.cyclingfans.com/

post links to various nationalities tv streams.
So might have RAI tv with volume turned down and Eurosport audio as commentary.

The site is a bit confusing but once you know where to look it's get simpler.
Always large pictures of previous days stage at top then a brief paragraph about todays stage a map and
when various broadcasts begin and to the right a narrow box of links to tv/audio streams.

The links change daily. Also different streams require different players/software though most are
flash based (ie very common and standard). If one link doesn't work try the next etc.

As the streams come on line on the day cyclingfans.com is updated.
So it really is go there and try!
Most stages begin at 11am and transmission usually starts an hour or so after that.

Also the cyclingnews.com and eurosport (http://yahoo.eurosport.co.uk/) tickers are useful - ie a frequently updated web
page of comments on how the stage is going - often fills in the blanks when the tv streams fall over.

Good luck.

Here's a screenshot of todays cyclingfans page.

pictures (above hidden)
description and times (above hidden)
stage profile, some video links
section to right is the important one! Live Video Streaming.
Lots of icons for various tv streams - that might or might not work at any given time.below these is the audio links section.
Can't get a Eurosport tv stream then add the eurosport audio to whatever tv link you have got working.

I laughed...he, he.

Long break always likely to get caught and then the strong wind causing a split...and who was there to take advantage?

The whole Columbia High Road team plus Lance (with cronies) and Cancellara. Much ribaldry.

Hard to imagine a better or more annoying scenario for Outthedoor or Vermin Slipstruggle.

Then a brilliant sprint.

Excellent stage.

Team tt tomorrow will be much more interesting after this little shake up.

Tuesday 07 July 2009 - Stage 4 Montpellier - Montpellier (TTT) 39km

Not flat, not straight, not short.
All times count! So will be some unfortunates who lose a lump (ie several minutes). Cadel is most threatened as
he has weakest team.

Saxo, Garmin and Columbia looking for honours with Astana staying close to pack the GC. Fascinating.
Shaping up to be a really intriguing tour.
